What it is about

The quay's drainage cooperative has paid for a replacement pump governor. Its crate is missing. An auction is about to sell the same machinery as unclaimed scrap. You are an independent claims reader. Visit six locations, compare the records people give you, build a supported account of what happened, and choose how the cargo is returned. This is a documentary investigation with a fixed answer, not a prompt collection that asks you to invent the culprit. Play with one ordinary six-sided die, a pencil, and paper. No game master, other rulebook, account, subscription, or AI service is needed. What the full case contains An 18-page illustrated screen edition and two 17-page print editions (A4/US Letter), all containing the same case. Six investigation locations and six named characters. Authored evidence that you receive without a successful die roll. Optional favors and resources that affect the cost of a settlement. A written deduction check and three ending routes. Numbered passages with reading gates to keep the solution separate from the investigation. A clean plain-text edition and read-me notes. Includes an optional two-page case-notes companion in A4 and US Letter, with print and text-fillable PDF editions. Try the free case first The Misdelivered Parcel is a separate, complete introductory case with its own clues and resolution. It teaches the basic procedure without revealing the paid case's answer. It is included as a free sample, not counted as an extra paid adventure. Nothing earned in the sample carries into the full case. Free download: The Misdelivered Parcel, in A4 and US Letter PDFs. Full case: US $3.99 minimum for the complete Ninth Receipt ZIP, including screen, print, and plain-text editions. What to expect The emphasis is on assembling documentary evidence and deciding who bears the inconvenience of a settlement, rather than combat or a difficult hidden-identity puzzle. The underlying answer is fixed; later replays will not provide a new culprit. Optional rolls change resources, not the facts. This release has not been independently human-playtested. AI disclosure Created with generative AI assistance for writing, illustration, and layout. No AI tool is needed to play.
