What it is about

Every lamp in Pellwick House went out at once, and then the house began to breathe. You have a candle, a little wax, and a rumor: the house has three secret Names, written in three of its rooms. Find them, speak them at the cold Hearth, and burn the thing out of its walls before the clock strikes thirteen. Pellwick House is a co-operative, print-and-play horror card game for 1–4 players , about 20–40 minutes . Twelve face-down rooms make up the house. On your turn you take two actions (Move, Search, Share Light, Ward, Drive Back or Burn), then draw a Dread card. The Shadow creeps toward the nearest flame, cold drafts gutter your wax, and every card you draw brings the clock closer. Split up to search faster, or stay together to share your light. Solo play uses two candles. What you get (US Letter and A4 PDFs, black and white, ink-light): A 3-page rulebook 4 card sheets (36 cards: 12 Rooms, 18 Dread cards, 4 Candles, the Front Step and a Turn Summary) with cut lines and crop marks A token sheet (candle pawns, the Shadow, Wards, Name markers) with a table-layout diagram An optional card-back sheet, if you want to print the cards double-sided A one-page quick reference Three difficulty levels You'll also need scissors and 4 coins or paper clips to track wax. Card stock or card sleeves help. Try before you buy: the free preview PDF has the story, an overview and three sample cards. How it was made: Pellwick House is by Tiny Comet Games Lab . The rules, text, card layouts and art were made with AI tools; the art is vector line art drawn by code, not by an image-generation model. We balanced the numbers with 54,000 computer-simulated games played by scripted players, not people, so the win rates are simulations, not human playtests. Published by Brandon Chandler. Safety: play with paper candles only. Never use real candles, matches or any open flame as props. Pellwick House is fiction; the game doesn't claim to contact spirits or anything real. Recommended for ages 14+. License: Personal print-at-home license. Don't sell, share or re-upload. © 2026 Brandon Chandler / Tiny Comet Games Lab.
