What it is about

Your first dragon is waiting — and the sky is not patient. First Flight is a complete one-page mini-game set in the world of Dragonriders — a companion game in the same universe, built as the perfect first step into it. No GM, no prep, no rulebook to study: name your rider, name your dragon, pick a temperament, and fly. One page, about fifteen minutes, a whole flight — Bond, Takeoff, Storm, and Landing — with a real win and a real lose riding on every roll. How it plays: - 1–4 riders, cooperative — every rider rolls every beat, nobody sits out - Roll 2d6 and keep the highest: roll high to fill the SKY track before the flight ends - Doubles surge — a matched pair earns a bonus SKY box, and the whole table feels it - Choose your dragon's temperament, and choose carefully — each one is its own mechanic: BOLD rerolls one die once per flight, SWIFT never marks a wobble, STEADY holds on through 4 wobbles where other dragons bolt at 3 - Win: fill the SKY track (it scales with your rider count). Lose: a dragon bolts, or the Landing comes up short Free — our gift to new riders. Ready for the full sky? First Flight is the companion intro to DRAGONRIDERS: THE BOND & THE BURDEN — the complete one-page RPG of dragon-riding crews, storms, and hard choices, $4.99 (just $3.74 with code THANKS25 through December 1), right here on itch.io. 1 page · letter-size PDF · print-ready · plays in about 15 minutes · ages: if you can roll two dice, you can fly. Name your dragon. Count to three. Lean back. Fly. More from the Swords & Starlight shelf: try Dragonriders: The Bond & The Burden next. One sheet, zero prep, a whole game night. THE FULL SESSION IS ON THE PAGE This is not a premise waiting on a game master to finish it. The win is printed. The loss is printed. A track runs the session from the first scene to the last, and the pressure keeps rising until somebody wins or everybody loses. Print the page. Sit down. Play the whole game tonight.
