You pay $3.75 now. When v2.0 is released with the finished artwork, your copy gets upgraded for FREE. The rules in both single and multiplayer modes are virtually identical. Players use three dice in each round to sail the high seas, plunder ships and cities, trade, complete missions, avoid shallow waters, engage in various adventures and uncover buried treasures. Players can even cooperate when attacking formidable adversaries (including each other) and uncover secret missions. Some actions affect other players, so being aware of everyone’s progress is vital. Important: Though the game is rated for ages 14+, it is not recommended for children or sensitive players. It includes a separate folder containing alternate “uncensored” versions of some cards that do not shy away from the harsher realities of the period, including: Gambling Robbery Nudity Rape Substance use Homicide Slavery And other mature themes The game lasts 24 rounds, divided into eight seasons, with Global Events and a change in wind direction that affect all players taking place at the end of each season. Most activities give achievement points, and ultimately, the player who accumulates the most achievements, wins.
