What it is about

Some people collect stamps or vintage cars or barbie doll heads. You are not one of those people. Through your (shady) network of connections, you collect creatures that are considered oddities .  Some may even think they don't exist.  They would be wrong, and you've got the displays to prove it. You also throw some rather unusual dinner parties. CURIO is a solo journaling RPG where you take the role of a shadowy collector, purchasing mythological beasts, and choosing whether to display them or to do...other things with them.  (Not sex stuff.  I mean, it's your journal game, but...) Included in this download is the three-page rules and how-tos (and at least one leprechaun), and a 4x6 printable recipe card if you want to take things just one step too far.  (That's where the fun is, though, right?) Created for ell0's Menu TTRPG jam.  The entire look/feel is from the physical menus at Curio Bar in San Francisco , which is graciously shared by Art of the Menu . note: This is my first game.  There are bound to be issues, since there's a lot I don't know yet.  (There are things that I don't even know that I don't know, most likely.)  Please be kind, as my ego is smooshy and spreads well on toast.
