What it is about

The village of Gauntvale is all that remains of the once-mighty city of Wisegarden. Each night, the residents suffer terrible nightmares as punishment for a past sin against their king, a mighty Titan with power over the Dreaming Lands. He, and the Talisman he wields, lie at the end of an ever-shifting labyrinth of dreams. The Labyrinth of the Dream King is a Realm for the SHELL tabletop role-playing game, and requires those core rules to play. This Realm uses a deck of cards to emulate a rogue-like style of random generation, changing the enemies you fight, the rooms you find, and the discoveries within each time you enter the labyrinth. Explore through three increasingly-dangerous layers of the labyrinth, populated with 19 dangerous foes that can shift into more-deadly Nightmare forms. Face at least three of a possible twelve different mini-bosses (each that drop unique loot) before facing off against the Dream King. SHELL is heavily inspired by and an unapologetic love letter to Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: Silksong , by Team Cherry. This TTRPG would never have been made if Team Cherry hadn’t poured such love and passion into making Hallownest and Pharloom such fascinating settings. Please support them by purchasing their video games. The rogue-like mechanics of this Realm are inspired by RIG , by NotWriting, and WYRD , by Sasquatch Games. Please support them by purchasing their products. This product was Carved by RUNE, based on the RUNE TTRPG by Gila RPGs . This product is not affiliated with Gila RPGs, or Spencer Campbell, in any way.
