What it is about

The Flyers of the Rhomboid Ships is a solo sandbox adventure with light mechanics and a unique setting . Two people can also play it using the PDF: Two Flyers – Duet Supplement. The Flyers was designed for the One-Page RPG Jam 2026 . The game is based on a concept that had been in my mind since 2024, when I made two sketches that completely captivated me, but I couldn't figure out how to turn them into something playable. Fortunately, a few weeks ago, the spark of inspiration finally struck. THE PREMISE You assume the role of a Flyer who has just completed their training and is "ready" to leave the Rhomboid Ship. Your mission is clear: risk your life solving the problems of the isolated communities within your State . You will face two tasks per location, visiting a total of seven places. If you survive your mission, return to the Ship. Otherwise, you will perish when you reach/spend 100 Resistance points . Later, or on another day, create a new Flyer and continue your journey (with a roguelite feel). Once you complete all 48 tasks , roll a final D6. Based on everything that happened during your journey, decide what the result means for your Flyer. Print this page or keep track of your tasks and Resistance on a separate sheet of paper. You will only need a pencil and 2D6. Due to the limited format and my personal preferences, many details of the setting are intentionally left undefined. Do not be afraid to fill the gaps with your imagination: every State is unique. Anecdote. At some point in its conception, it was called "The Flyers: Somewhere of New Helan" . Relieved to see it published ^_^
