What it is about
Behind our world lies Last Haven, the decaying royal court of a once mighty faerie. You’ve found a way in, hoping to study their works and true nature: the detritus of their culture, home, and monuments. But faefolk protect their realm with glamours that deceive wanderers with visions of illusory worlds. It is dangerous to dwell in faerie places. Your presence empowers them, and fae magic can sap your sense of self, your memory. Explore, study, and return home while you can. Look Upon My Works is a solo pointcrawl game about exploring the ruined realm of a forgotten faerie. Taking 1-2 hours to play and using dice and a pack of cards, you venture into the fae palace. Over several rounds, you travel deeper, search for artefacts or record observations, and attempt to return to the human world before running out of supplies, or becoming trapped by fae magic or crumbling architecture. Using simple oracles and dice checks, you’ll find artefacts, and attempt to see through the fae glamours to perceive their true nature. Upon escaping, you’ll discover precisely what you found, and how much you understand - or remember - of the fae realm and its forgotten ruler. What You Need to Play: A deck of cards; dice: 1x d6, 1x d12; a token; journalling equipment. Look Upon My Works was made for the 2026 One-Page RPG Jam . Fonts used are Libre Baskerville and BN Wispy by Brandon Nickerson Studio. Writing, art, and design is by Telling Games. LUMW is Human-Made.
