What it is about

The last train has gone. There are four hours until the first one. You are the lost property clerk at this station. Your job is to write each handed-in object into the ledger. That is all your job is — and yet every single time, in the margin beside the name of the object, you find you have written something about the person who lost it. FOR FANS OF · Thousand Year Old Vampire, journaling solo RPGs, and quiet horror This is a game you play alone, by writing. Roll two dice, read the one lost object they point to, and write down who you think left it behind. A line is enough. Nobody is ever going to read it. The ending is not yours to choose. When the same roll comes up a second time, the owner has come back for it, and you write what they said at the counter. When it comes up a third time, the first train is coming, and the night is over — whatever turn you are on. Then you choose one object that was never claimed, and do one of three things with it. None of them is correct. What is in it 36 objects on six shelves, rolled with two ordinary six-sided dice Two turns of the night , decided by the dice rather than by you Three endings , none of them a win A record sheet to print and write on, as many times as you like What you need One player. No game master. No other players. Two six-sided dice, a pen, and a printer — or just the pen, if you would rather write in your own notebook. Format PDF, 11 pages (8 book + 3 record sheet). Print and play. 45–90 minutes. Replay The table stays the same but the order changes, and the order decides which objects get claimed and which are left behind. What is left decides the last one. The setting An ordinary station in winter. It is not based on any real station, railway company or line, and no real place, company or product is named anywhere in the book. Printing and use Print and copy it as often as you like for your own play. You may run sessions of this game for other people, paid or unpaid. Please do not redistribute or resell the book itself. AI disclosure This work was made with AI (Claude). The text, the object tables and the structure were written by AI and checked by a person before release. The cover and the figures are not generative AI — they are drawn by a program.
