Woman in the Dunes

The Woman in the Dunes is a novel by the Japanese writer Kōbō Abe, published in 1962. A man becomes trapped in a sand pit with a widow, forced to continuously remove sand from their dwelling. As days pass, he confronts existential questions about freedom and identity, gradually accepting his inescapable fate. Ultimately, he abandons his escape attempts and settles into his new life, embracing the absurdity of his existence. This is a tribute solo journaling game. Driven by your Sorrow, you left the city to venture into the nearby desert and pursue rest through your Passion. You will chronicle your journey on a journal as you make your way across the desert to find rest from your Sorrow. Will it fade or be submerged by the desert sands?
