What it is about
Grab your hard hat, pack your cooler, and try not to get eaten before clocking out. Monsters & Fitters is a blue-collar fantasy Solo Journaling RPG. You play as a regular fitter, plumber, electrician, or drywaller contracted by magical creatures to do maintenance inside their dungeons and castles . Your goal isn't to slay the dragon or find ancient treasure. Your goal is to finish your 8-hour shift without getting eaten, keep your sanity intact, and drive back home with the company van in one piece . THE JOB DETAILS: A Grueling 8-Hour Shift: Play through 8 turns representing your workday . The Incident Blueprint: Roll 1d8 and 1d6 to generate unique on-the-job hazards . Deal with absurd clients, missing tools, structurally unsound magic, and parasitic infestations . Stress Management: You start with 6 Patience (PT) and 6 Beers (BR) in your cooler . Mishaps and magical accidents will drain your Patience . Union Breaks: Your Beers are your tactical lifeline. Drink one to reroll a failed test or recover a lost point of Patience . But be careful—if you run out of beer, you'll have to finish the job stone-cold sober and deeply depressed . Technical Office Oracle: Ask closed Yes/No questions to explore the site, but beware of messing up and increasing your frustration . WHAT YOU NEED: A six-sided die (1d6) and an eight-sided die (1d8) Pen and paper (or print the included Attendance Log & Damage Report ) 10-20 minutes to survive your shift ⚠️ SITE INSPECTION (FEEDBACK REQUIRED): Did you make it to the van? Did you snap and throw a wrench at a Lich ? I need your field reports to optimize the company protocols. Leave a comment below with your final PT and BR scores, and tell me what happened to your company van!
