No group? No problem. Party of Four is a Skill for Claude (Anthropic's AI) that turns it into a real Game Master. Each player has a hero; Claude runs the world, and AI companions with their own personality, voice, goals and fears fill the empty seats. There are always four at the table. It has been playtested at a real table: by voice, with friends, and with a 7-year-old. Everything below comes from those games. PLAY WITH FRIENDS AROUND ONE PHONE • Up to 4 players. Say your name, then what you do: "Sara: I climb the tower." • Claude keeps track of who is who, gives everyone the spotlight and goes in turn order during fights. • Put the chat on a TV or PC as the story board while you talk into the phone. THE GAME MASTER TALKS • Say "we're playing by voice": Claude sets everything up, then you switch on Claude's voice mode and play hands-free. • Short spoken turns, a clear question at the end of each one, dice results read out the same clear way every time. • Real dice even by voice: before you start, Claude fills a coded "dice bag" of real random rolls and uses them in order. No peeking, no invented numbers. FAMILY MODE AND KIDS MODE • Family tone: no gore, nobody dies, danger is exciting but never scary. • With young kids at the table, turns get very short, something happens every turn, and kids get things to do for real: make the sound of the wind, roar like the dragon, invent the magic word. • Kids roll a real die, even an ordinary six-sided one. At the end, every hero gets a title. REAL RULES, NEVER INVENTED • Simple d20 rules, or your favourite system. Claude rolls real random dice with code, or you roll your own. • At every roll Claude reminds you of your hero's numbers. Say "sheet" anytime to see or hear your full sheet. • Signature abilities, Luck points, partial successes, and an oracle for open questions ("Is anyone inside?"). ANY WORLD, ANY LANGUAGE, NEXT WEEK TOO • Classic or dark fantasy, pirates, gothic mystery, sci-fi, post-apocalypse, or your own idea. • Plays in your language: English, Italian, Spanish, German… • End a session and get a "Previously on…" recap plus a SAVE block. Paste it into a new chat and the story continues.
