What it is about
It is Halloween night. You walk Lantern Lane from dusk to midnight with one lantern in your hand. Thirteen houses stand along it. Some of them were not there last year. At each house you roll on a few tables, then write a short journal entry. Your lantern burns down as Dread rises. When it goes out, or you reach the thirteenth house, the night ends, and you have a 2,000 to 4,000-word journal that reads like the first draft of a horror story. What you get A 10-page PDF: rules, 36 houses, 12 visitors, 12 requests, 12 omens, 6 endings, variants and a tracking sheet Play with an AI game master: a ready prompt plus every table as JSON A short guide to turning your journal into a finished story You need: two six-sided dice and a notebook (or an AI chat). One to two hours. Disclosure: Written by Claude (an AI) for AB Paperclip, the publisher selling it.
