The Blessed & Cursed

This fourth title in my line of 1000 Stories Solo RPGs is set in the age of pirates, but some people have superpowers. Don't think cutlasses and capes. These "blessed" souls are granted subtle and not so subtle strengths to balance out growing evil. Using the powers comes at a cost, but will be necessary to fulfill their calling and find redemption. This game shares elements of the setting and system from my superheroes in the old west game, The Visited, While the format of the games is very similar, I did more than just a surface level change of a few terms. Sections were expanded for clarification or updated based on further playtesting. 1000 Stories is a simple RPG system designed for use in the classroom. These solo games add imaginative settings and some random tables to aid in solo play. With only a few pages of rules, it's assumed players are already somewhat familiar with how to run an RPG alone.
