What it is about
Riverbank is a short mapmaking game made for the 36-word RPG challenge in 2025. It was inspired by the song Csak befelé from Platon Karataev and Gergely Balla's thoughts about the many possible positioning of the self and a body of water in his poetry. To play, you only need a pen, a piece of paper, and a few minutes of time. I recommend making several maps for the full experience. Thanks for my partner for their insights about phrasing and layout, and for GothHoblin for some technical help. Everything is hand drawn and written by me. Enjoy and tell me about your map!
