What it is about
Momentum: Life in Time is a one-page roleplaying game about growing through pivotal Moments. Play by yourself or with others. Using sticky notes and a single six-sided die, you and your fellow players will build timelines from birth to death, one defining Moment at a time. Reflect on your character’s past, confront tension in the present, and grow with each challenge. Momentum is about change, memory, identity, and consequence. You’ll explore your character: what guides them, what shapes them, and the legacy they leave behind. It’s emotionally open-ended: sometimes joyful, sometimes heavy, always human (unless, of course, you choose to play as cats or aliens or cyborgs or orcs or whatever, but you know what I mean). You won’t play to win; you’ll play to reveal who your character is. It’s not a game of triumph. It’s a game of turning points. Momentum uses a symmetrical structure, sharing the traditional GM role amongst all the players. I would love to see the stories you build with this simple structure, so please post an image of your Timelines in the comments or send them in a message! The trifold is slightly more in-depth than the single page, but go with whatever calls to you. What Else, 2025, BC Goldenhour
