Mother-tongue

This story is the story of my ancestors. This story is the story of your ancestors. This story is our story. Mother-tongue is a solo one-page RPG with a spin on the journaling genre; instead of writing down the stories, you make notes of them and tell them out loud. Stories and the world in which they live have a symbiotic relationship, and one cannot exist without the other. This game allows you to create a world, the stories within it, and see how they both change each other. All it requires is a deck of cards and scrap paper. Create your story teller, your home, and the world in which you all exist. This game was designed for the One-Page RPG Jam 2025.
