The Shadow Grows

As a scribe in the kingdom of Old Eldarin you spend your days writing down records, and consulting dusty tomes. Recently there have been unsettling occurrences in the kingdom. Dark omens, and concerning events that seem tied to ancient evil long forgotten. You slowly uncover more of this forgotten horror, realising it is coming back. The Shadow grows! A solo journaling game. The Shadow Grows uses; a deck of playing cards, 2D4 and at least one book. Although I recommend surrounding yourself with a bunch for the best effect. It is a game inspired by Gandalf  reading ancient scrolls to uncover the dark truth about Bilbo’s ring, the slowly building threat of the White Walkers in Westeros, and every other tale where an ancient enemy rises again. In addition to the one page rules there is a map to chart your story, as well as some thoughts on how to incorporate visual worldbuilding as a bonus feature.
