What it is about

In an attempt to test their groundbreaking time travel technology, Fireball Appliances Inc. ( infamous renowned toaster manufacturer) has assigned you to program their latest, and most experimental, robot; a time traveling toastbot! Para[BOTS] is a solo puzzle game wherein you program a robot's movement using playing cards. The goal is to get the bot to its assigned goal on a 5x5 grid, while simultaneously trying to avoid the past versions of itself as they are following the program that got them to their own goals. This game was made for KSU's GDDC Fall Game Jam 2025 (theme: paradox) as well as Little Guy Game Jam #3 (theme: little guy) - both jams started on the same day. The card-based movement programming was inspired by RoboRally . FUTURE PLANS: Art and more visually appealing rules doc. Optional rules for an "easy mode" to help players learn the core mechanic of programing movement via cards. Printable resources, such as the 5x5 grid, papercraft tokens, and a deck of cards to cut out the need to check what different suits mean (mechanically would be the exact same, but would just help remove a level of complexity). Port to Table Top Simulator. Learn to code and make a digital version of this game.
