You are a magical being learning to live quietly again: to plant, to mend, to listen; to let the small enchantments of daily life take root where grand spells once stood. Home, Hearth & Hedgemagic is a solo journaling-through-sketching game about finding rest and a gentler rhythm. Across the seasons, you’ll draw your way through life in your little cottage, its corners filling with objects, creatures, and cozy spells that tell the story of your slow return to yourself. Each card drawn offers a new moment of calm, change, or mischief; your pencil and imagination shape what unfolds, and a touch of luck will decide how much of a struggle it becomes. To play, take something to draw with and your cottage sheet or simply a blank page. Sketch your home as it grows from Spring to Winter, not forcing answers but following what feels right. Add color if you wish, return to unfinished sketches, or skip prompts that don’t speak to you. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s comfort, curiosity, and rediscovering the quiet magic of simply being home. This game was created for and inspired by the Cozy Whimsical Fantasy Jam . Luckily, the jam had a generous deadline, because halfway through writing 200+ prompts I began questioning my sanity. But over time, the game took root and grew into something I’m truly proud of: a cozy experience with a few struggles woven through, the kind that make good stories, and speak of a life worth living.
