What it is about

Chronicle Engine is a solo roleplaying game designed for people who want to create meaningful stories but need a system to guide them — or simply don’t have the time, availability to play with a group. It sits between writing and roleplaying . The core principle of Chronicle Engine is simple: Ink comes first. You begin by writing — thoughts, scenes, fragments, answers. The system responds to what you write, shaping future chapters through questions, structure, and consequences. Sessions are short and flexible. You can play for 15 minutes or an hour. You can stop and return without losing momentum. The story grows chapter by chapter , at your own pace. In Chronicle Engine, you will: Answer narrative prompts Make small but meaningful choices Reflect on outcomes and implications Track how your story transforms over time Build a living chronicle unique to you You can use it for fantasy, sci-fi, personal fiction, or experimental narratives. The system adapts to the story you want to tell. Chronicle Engine removes common barriers to play: No GM No group coordination No long-term commitment No need to “perform” for others It’s a space for private creativity , guided by a clear but gentle structure. This game is for you if: You want to write a story but struggle with blank pages You love narrative RPGs but can’t commit to group play You enjoy journaling, reflection, and character-driven stories You want a system that supports your voice instead of replacing it Please enjoy it!
