What it is about
SILENT HUNT A solitary hunting game of stealth, patience, and consequence. In Silent Hunt, you are not a hero charging into battle. You are a shadow moving through hostile terrain, watching, waiting, listening. The wilds are not empty — but they are not generous either. Every hunt is resolved with dice as gear and cards as awareness. You stalk legendary beasts from myth and nightmare, knowing you will only ever get one shot. Miss, and the creature escapes — or worse, turns on you. Sometimes… nothing answers your call at all. How It Plays Each hunt is a tense sequence of decisions: Roll d66 to generate a target beast, its distance, and the terrain Draw cards to stay hidden — suits and values decide whether you remain in cover or are exposed Manage your dice pool, which represents your gear, instincts, and survival Take the shot — one roll to clear the creature’s Type, Distance, and Terrain Harvest trophies, repair equipment, or push your luck in the field Not every roll finds prey. Silence is part of the hunt. Key Features Dice-as-Gear System Your dice are your equipment. Lose dice when gear breaks, terrain turns hostile, or beasts strike back. Card-Based Stealth & Detection Stalking is resolved with a standard deck of cards — simple, elegant, and tense. One-Shot Resolution There are no second chances. Every hunt culminates in a single decisive roll. d66 Bestiary & Terrain Tables A wide range of creatures, locations, and ranges — from skittish prey to apex predators that hunt you. Campaign & Legacy Play Track trophies, repair and upgrade gear, gain ranks, and face escalating threats. Solo-First Design No GM required. The system naturally supports solitary play. Apex Hunts & Consequences Powerful creatures do not forgive mistakes. Eating your kill may restore your strength — but it leaves a scent. Hunt an apex predator while marked by it, and stealth collapses entirely. No stalking. No rerolls. One arrow.
