What it is about

That’s capitalism, baby! has been written for the 48-word RPG jam, the theme this year being "infinity". Executive summary (what's this game about?) You’re one of the richest people in the world. Your company is an industry leader in the field of next gen machine learning. As such, you’re doing a public conference to present the latest innovations in AI. It is said that 95% of the companies involved in AI will fail, but you sure hope that you will be one of the few successful. You can be honestly convinced about what you’re selling or you can be aware that what you’re promising is complete bullshit. While the general audience may be curious about the latest trend, your real target is stakeholders and investors. You have to reassure them. Otherwise, your market value can plunge in real time during your speech and you can be ruined in an instant! The stock market is a fickle beast. See how long you can last! Business plan (some advice) How much is your total net worth at the beginning of the game? Well, for the purpose of this game, it doesn’t really matter but here are some options. You can be the richest person in the world with a fortune of $600B. With $25B, you would be ranked among the 100 th richest people in the world. Finally, you can go with a nice round $100B or $10B, to ease your calculation. You can write down your speech using prompts, as in any journaling game, but you could record yourself doing a public speech. You can consider it’s an in-person conference or that you’re doing it remotely. You can add as much production value as you like or you can go low tech: some CEOs seem to have crappy computers and bad Internet connection on their private island/tax haven. The prompts are here to serve as inspiration. Maybe AI will not exactly “cure cancer” but instead cure another disease. (Besides, AI will do neither anyway, right?) Now you may ask what does “replace wars” even mean? No one knows, but that doesn’t matter. You just need to be convincing. Finally, you can use the 48-word supplement available on this page to add buzzwords to your speech. It should give you a good idea of the kind of bullshit you're currently trying to sell. Assets (what you need to play the game) Finally, you’ll need two d6s. And you need to be able to tell them apart. I would personally use dice of different color. Now, go make billions!
