What it is about
ON WIZARDRY. “Summon an orb. Build a tower. Amass a library. Study, study, study. Not trivial tasks, surely, even though I had a leg up on them because of who my parents were. And so there are those that would say, really, Florian, all that effort for some little tricks? Your greater powers locked in a book that cannot exceed six spells? While I understand that criticism, it is important for you to understand in turn: wizards chose this life, with all of its limitations and dangers, because it was their greatest desire. You wouldn’t ask a baker to stop baking bread, would you? The sun to stop shining?" - Florian Fournier Wiztographer is a GM-less map-making game for 1 or more players designed as a companion to Worldwizard by Jason Lutes. Every player will take on the role of a wizard and make their way across a previously created map, filling it with additional details for use in a future role-playing game! While they explore, they'll pursue goals that will unlock content for subsequent Wiztographer playthroughs. Don't have Worldwizard or a Worldwizard map? That's fine, too! You can grab Wiztographer and be ready to create a new world from scratch within 5 minutes. Wiztographer includes: Rules for making and fleshing out maps that can be use in the fantasy role-playing game of your choice! A unique system inspired by legacy-style board games for unlocking new options and content. Can you reveal all of the Legacies? Tables for generating recurring NPCs and factions for your world, and almost two hundred location prompts. 6+ wizard specializations, 20+ spells, and more than a few secrets. Tend to play online? My Discord bot Camden has support for Wiztographer scrying rolls! He does far more than that, too, so if you're curious, you can find more info on him right over here . If you like Wiztographer, you may also enjoy the game that originally inspired it: Cartograph by Brandon Lee! Finally, if you'd like to learn more about the game, you can find an overview of the rules, including an example turn, over on YouTube!
