What it is about

The Twist Oracle is a lightweight oracle that turns simple Yes/No answers into narrative twists for solo RPG play. Instead of generating random events, it reinterprets what is already happening in the scene. When you ask a Yes/No question, the oracle determines whether something is true. If the result includes "and" or "but" , a twist is rolled that changes how that truth manifests in the situation. This keeps the story grounded in the current scene while still allowing surprising developments. The oracle is system-agnostic and can be used with any tabletop RPG. Inside the PDF you will find: A simple Yes/No oracle A d66 Twist Table Guidance on interpreting twists Play examples A quick reference sheet The oracle focuses on four types of narrative twists: Revelation Opportunity Complication Escalation These twists help transform simple answers into meaningful story developments. Perfect for: solo RPG players GM-less play improvisational storytelling emergent narrative play If you enjoy the oracle, please consider leaving a rating. It helps other solo RPG players discover the tool.
