What it is about

The city runs. You are sure of this. Trams arrive. Signals change. Dogs ride without tickets. The schedule is correct. The schedule is always correct. The stop that was demolished in 2031 still appears on the evening route. Ninety seconds. Passengers board. The driver's log shows no deviation. The passengers aren't on the next camera. This is not a haunting. This is a maintenance issue. LINJALLA is a one-session tabletop RPG for 2–5 players set in a Nordic city that runs on time — just not always this year's time. You work for the transit authority.  Even as a passenger. Or as a dog on a tram. Your job is to ride the line, observe, and file clean reports. Every report contains a checkbox: ☐ I confirm this deviation was observable by standard monitoring equipment. It wasn't. You know it wasn't. The system would prefer that you check the box anyway. WHAT'S INSIDE (6 pages, 3 sheets duplex): ▸ A complete RPG playable in 2–3 hours ▸ Four characters: The Driver, The Auditor, The Passenger, The Dog ▸ Yes. You can play the dog. The dog always knows. The dog cannot speak. ▸ A Synchronization dial that fails at BOTH ends — too low and the city forgets you; too high and you forget the city ▸ Three anomaly types the system can't classify ▸ Three maintenance actions, each with a different cost to your soul ▸ A scenario generator (216+ combinations) ▸ Karaoke bars as the only safe space in the city ▸ DRIFT MODE: a solo real-world LARP you play with your actual body on your actual commute ▸ One checkbox that contains the entire game THE TONE: Cyber without the punk. Nordic without the noir. A Kaurismäki film where the city is the protagonist. A photograph from 2044 developed with chemicals from 1974. The horror, if there is horror, is in the normalcy of the impossible. A sibling game to Les Arrondissements. Inspired by Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, and every city that runs on time. For the tram drivers who photograph the dogs. You know who you are. The city runs. The line continues. The dog rides home. FREE. Not pay-what-you-want. Free. The system runs on trust.
