What it is about

Dead God Dreaming is a dark post-apocalyptic sci-fantasy pilgrimage game in which a desperate settlement drags the colossal corpse of a dead god across The Unborn Lands, hoping to reach the Crucible before the god awakens and devours them all. It is a solo, dice-driven survival board game played with pencil, paper and six-sided dice across a procedurally revealed hex map, with each run taking roughly 45 -90 minutes depending on how long your pilgrimage survives. The 48-page PDF rulebook contains all you need to play, including a settlement ledger to track your progress, a blank hex map of The Unborn Lands, four cards for the sinister Factions you will encounter, and six random terrain event tables to ensure that no  two runs are ever the same. Game features: Guide a settlement of Pilgrims, Warriors, Supplicants, Harvesters and Prophets through a hostile wasteland. Manage four critical resources: unassigned Pilgrims, Supplies, Dust and the dead god’s Slumber. Explore a procedurally generated hex map of plains, swamps, deserts, mountains, rivers and ice fields. Hunt for sacred Relics hidden in ruins, resource nodes and dangerous Relic Sites. Balance survival, sacrifice and risk as every Relic demands an Offering. Encounter four hostile or useful factions: The Vivisectionists, The Choir, The Burners and The Revivalists. Track shifting Faction Standing, shaping trade, conflict, alliances and the final fate of the god. Trigger an Endgame at the Crucible, where your Relics, sacrifices and alliances determine what kind of god is reborn. Although the visual assets for this product have been produced in collaboration with AI tools, all text and game design are crafted by hand.
