To those who came before me The world is a much lonelier place without you. I walk down isolated alleyways and look at the murals sprawling across the walls left there by people who felt as abandoned as we did. I see layers of beauty there I couldn’t comprehend before. I’m sure you would have loved to see it. I wish you still could. But despite your absence, there is still magic in these walls. You wouldn’t think it, looking at the rotting wood and the cracked paint, but running your hand along it, you can feel the thrum under your fingertips. The amount of potential people have put in these walls over the years is staggering. I’ll try to make the best of these blessings. The world may be in turmoil, but we stand together against the tide. In unity we find strength, even if I only have your unity in spirit. We will forge ahead to better days yet ahead. I have to believe it’s still possible to fix things, no matter the odds. The world is never broken beyond repair. Before I go, I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. I would give up so much to not have to carry this burden. But I must keep it with me til the day I pass. I am the last Noita and I will make sure we are remembered before the gates of Manala halt my path forward. Because if I don’t, nobody will.
