What it is about
“The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.” — J. B. S. Haldane You have moved into a new house. Among the things left behind, you discover an old key and a faded note. Most of the writing has disappeared, but one sentence remains: Some things are not gone. Only elsewhere. Somewhere in the house, there is a door you have never opened. The Door Between Worlds is a solo journaling RPG about curiosity, possibilities, and the countless versions of reality that might exist beyond a single choice. Each time you open the door, you step into a different world. Some feel familiar. Others seem impossible. A world where history unfolded differently. A world waiting for something important. A world where time moves in unexpected ways. A world where someone has been expecting you. Choose a thought, question, memory, fear, wish, or possibility. Open the door. Roll the dice. Discover what waits beyond. Write, draw, map your discoveries, or simply follow where your imagination leads. No roleplaying experience required. Features Explore endless parallel worlds through simple dice rolls Discover alternate histories, strange realities, and impossible possibilities Use thoughts, questions, memories, wishes, and fears as story prompts Record your journeys with dedicated journal pages Worlds continue to influence your home between crossings Write, draw, sketch, map, or combine all of them Beginner-friendly rules Printable PDF format Booklet-ready version included for easy home printin 11 printable game and journal pages Standard PDF version Booklet-ready version Parallel world generation tables Rare Worlds table Between Crossings events table Guided journaling prompts Crossing Journal pages World Record pages Sketch & Notes pages Two six-sided dice (2d6) Something to write with The included journal pages, or a notebook of your own Every illustration in The Door Between Worlds was hand-drawn by me and created specifically for this game.
