What it is about
Characters may encounter strange local taboos in places they visit. Though taboos may seem similar to customs, breaking a taboo will normally result in more severe repercussions than breaking a custom, and being from elsewhere may not hold any water. Taboos may have had their origins in things done for a reason, but that reason may now be lost or no longer have merit, yet the taboo remains.
