What it is about
Underwater regions in a fantasy setting may not be as commonly visited, due to the need to breathe, but magic and other abilities mean that characters can still end up beneath the waves. Signs of sea life and sunken civilisations can be found, and there are other dangers as well as drowning. This supplement has 100 encounters for such regions which can be used to enliven a journey, from background colour to potential adventure hooks.

Here are some sample results:
Narrow, rocky spires rise up out of the sea floor here, each comprised of a black stone and ending in points that look almost sharp. No sea life has colonised the spires, and the absence of seaweed and shellfish looks odd (noticed with a DC 5 Intelligence (Nature) check).
On the ocean floor is the decaying, seaweed and barnacle encrusted wreck of a sailing ship. The ship looks (a DC 5 Wisdom (Perception) check) to have been there for many years, and it appears that various forms of sea life have made it into a home (this may include dangerous forms).
On the sea bed are a number of very large shells, like those of clams (identifiable with a DC 5 Intelligence (Nature) check) but much larger, each several feet across. Most of the clams are partially open.
On the sea floor is what appears to be rusted metal, encrusted with barnacles. Closer inspection (DC 7 Wisdom (Perception) check) shows it's the metal-clad hull of a ship of unfamiliar design that has seemingly been on the sea floor for many years. A huge hole torn in one side of the hull suggests that this is how the ship sank.
Openings on the sea floor turn out to be entrances to comparatively smooth sided rocky tunnels, identifiable (with a DC 12 Intelligence (Nature) check) as lava tunnels. It looks as if some sea creatures have been using them as a home.
One page is the front cover, one the front matter, one is ads and one the Open Game License.
The supplement is also available in the following versions: 3Deep, Black Spear, Lore 100, Pathfinder and system neutral. You do not need all versions.
