Witchy Woodland

his is a tabletop roleplaying game, single player or solo player. The mood is cute and weird, the vibe is whimsical, Grimm-like, kid friendly, focused on non-fighting options. Enter the fairytale ! Write in your own Grimoire, keeping a journal each time you rest. You have a cosy medieval-fantastic magical forest to explore ! You will only need a deck of cards, two dice, a small notebook, a pencil and the most witchy little trinket you have to serve as your figurine while exploring the woodlands. As the titular witch of the region, the Witchy Woodland is the place to be. Full of wonders and weirdness, this is where you can harvest all the fantastical ingredients needed for your spells, potions and other wizardry. Befriend grumpy unicorns, steal a whisper from a nymph, cut the hairs of a wandering princess, banter with some stake-thirsty inquisitors and pick cool looking rocks along the way. Still, beware the dangers that await you in this mystical forest, and find your way back to cook that healing potion for some random villager with a broken leg or too much acnee. This game by Clément Domergue uses the Firelights system ruleset from René-Pier Deshaies-Gélinas , and was made during the 2023 Firelights Jam . Same core mechanics as Firelights, in a different setting, and with a few additional mechanics, making you go back and forth more. Updates: Enjoy the supplement "The Ingredients" to help you when looking for them! The supplement also have a table for Offerings. Translations are available in Polish by the group Błękitny Klucz , and in French by myself. A sequel has been released for this game: Witchier Woodland ! The woodland is cursed and needs your help. https://domergue.itch.io/witchier-woodland">Witchier Woodland by Domergue Witchy games : Witchier Woodland Domergue Witch in the Woods Błękitny Klucz
