What it is about

Space stations and other futuristic facilities are not always occupied; sometimes, they may be abandoned for one reason or another. This supplement has 100 reasons why such are abandoned, although there is sometimes the potential for a few people to still be hanging around. Some of the reasons are innocuous but others are because of dangers or disasters. Some of the descriptions would require a space station or other space facility, some will work on the ground and some will work for both. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some sample results: Something has caused all the station's structure to age prematurely, leading to things breaking well before what should have been the end of their useful life. Space/time anomalies have been afflicting the region the station is in, warping structures when they pass through. The area in which the station was constructed started suffering from bouts of intense radiation from a nearby star, far more than the shielding was designed to cope with. The company that owned the facility was bought out by a larger organisation of notorious asset strippers who ripped out everything of value. The computer network's operating system is integral to it, and the network is integral to the station, and cannot be changed, even though it is incompatible with everything else now. One page is the front cover, one the front matter and one is ads.
