What it is about

Welcome to Singularity—a dense and comprehensive player’s aid for ZOZER Games’ HOSTILE Solo RPG. I’ve distilled the core gameplay into 22 pages of streamlined tables, each with page references to the original rulebook. This setup allows players to quickly follow the flow of the game and refer back to the source material whenever needed. In addition to the main HOSTILE Solo, I’ve included cross-referenced sections from Dirtside, Cepheus Universal, and the original HOSTILE rules text. These supplemental references aren’t required to play, but they offer valuable context and flavor for those who enjoy digging deeper. Most of the system is also compatible with Traveller and other 2d6-based games. You’ll find a few clearly marked deviations from the official rules, along with some of my own homebrew tables and techniques—especially for running random hexcrawls across planetary surfaces. I’ve also added optional procedures for landing planetside to collect fuel in the wild, separate from survey targets. These modifications are labeled within their respective tables for easy reference. Using this framework, I’ve played through several interconnected solo missions. It began with an exploration crew surveying a new system—until they encountered unexpected hazards and suffered a high fatality rate. When they failed to return with their survey report, a Fast Response Team (FRT) was dispatched. En route, they discovered a derelict vessel 40 MKm from the hyperspace exit point. Inside, they recovered a navigation drive containing valuable data on previously unknown systems—and evidence of a covert organization funding secret missions. The FRT deemed the intel too critical to risk interception and returned to home base. Now, the possibilities are wide open. I have new systems to secure, planets to colonize, resources to ship, asteroid belts to mine, and a shadowy organization to investigate. Each roll opens new paths and storylines. So join me—dive into Singularity and unlock new worlds of adventure within the HOSTILE Solo game system.
