What it is about
Shrines are holy and sacred places that are often part of a larger place of worship but may be elsewhere, places in their own right. This supplement has 100 different shrines that could be encountered. Some would definitely fit inside a larger building whilst others require more space. Some are plain to understand whilst others are odd. They can be used as points of interest in temples, in cities and settlements or on journeys.

Here are some sample results:
Fragmentary remains of part of an old wall, a long defunct defensive feature from its appearance. Many of the remaining stones are missing and tucked in between some of those remaining are small pouches, each containing small, probably personal, items.
Freestanding archway carved from fine stone, large enough for several people to pass abreast through. By the looks of the war on the stone beneath the arch, most have passed through in one direction. The sides of the arch have been carved with martial scenes.
Hot spring that has had the stone around it shaped into a more pleasant form, including a stream running away from the pool itself. Scented herbs surround the pool and leaves from them dropping into the water fill the area with fragrant steam.
Humanoid skulls have been polished and arranged into a pyramid. The skulls are affixed in place and covered in a layer of varnish.
Jagged black metal spines, ending in red-coloured sharp blades, rise from the ground, framing an area above it. The ground around is blasted and damaged and the entire area is surrounded by a 6' tall wrought iron fence on which flowers and other offerings have been tied.
One page is the front cover, one the front matter and most of one is ads.
