What it is about
UniQuest is a solo dungeon-crawl adventure game played with pencil, paper, and dice.
You play alone. One character. One descent.
There are no referee and no prepared map. The dungeon is generated as you explore it, room by room, through dice rolls that reveal danger, opportunity, and direction. Corridors branch. Dead ends force retreat. Stairs appear when you least expect them. Unexplored doors linger on your map as unanswered questions.
Every decision is yours.
Combat is fast and unforgiving. Traps test reflex and resilience. Locked chests and ancient mechanisms reward patience and punish haste. Death is permanent. Each expedition stands alone. The dungeon does not scale to your feelings. It does not care if this is your first run, your best character, or “the one that was really going places.”
UniQuest may be played as a pure procedural dungeon crawl, or with Story Mode enabled, adding branching narrative encounters in the tradition of classic solo adventure books. In either mode, the dungeon rules remain unchanged. The story never replaces the crawl; it only interrupts it.
No two journeys are the same. The dungeon layout, the sequence of encounters, and the choices you face combine to create a unique quest every time you play. Even familiar decisions can lead to unfamiliar outcomes.
UniQuest is designed to be:
Fast to learn
Quick to play
Easy to expand
Deadly by default
All you need to begin is a few six-sided dice (preferably in two colours), a pencil, and the willingness to see how far you dare to go.
One player. One quest. A unique journey, every time.
