This Book Will Consume You

You heard so much about this book and how great it is. Fans are losing their minds over it. Literally . You are the next victim. As you read, you may start to believe this book is reaching out to you, and others must join you. Can you avoid being consumed ? To play, you will need a d10 and a pencil. Setup: Divide the book into 4 sections and mark the pages. You can ignore sections made by other players. Anytime you stop reading, follow that section’s prompt. Be safe and get creative. Feel free to interact with other player's entries. Use the bookmark while reading and follow the prompts every time you put the book down or take a break from reading. This game is inspired by bookmark games and the 1994 film In the Mouth of Madness. WARNING: This game is about losing your will to an entity in a book. Due to the nature of the game, players play separately, but use the same book -- layering each person's gameplay together until the pages are filled. Other players may write things that are upsetting for you. Please proceed with caution and stay safe. Please let me know if you playtest this! I'm looking for feedback specifically about the clarity of the instructions and if it makes more sense to roll every time you follow the prompt or only at the end of each section.
