What it is about

Forse sei tu a ricordarla male. Caratteristiche Journaling RPG solitario horror. Regole contenute in un foglio A4 fronte-retro. Planimetria modificabile direttamente durante il gioco. Sistema basato su ritmo, Eco e Muta. Nessuna preparazione complessa. Atmosfera lenta, intima e inquietante. Disponibile in italiano e inglese. Creato per la 1100 Words TTRPG Kitchen 2026 . The House Listens to Your Steps You inherited an old house. By day, it seems perfectly ordinary: empty rooms, worn walls, creaking doors, and furniture left untouched for years. But at night, something changes. You hear footsteps. Creaks. Whispers too distant to understand. You could ignore them. You could close your eyes and wait for morning. Instead, you decide to follow them. The House Listens to Your Steps is a minimalist solo horror journaling RPG in which you explore an old house by following the mysterious sounds echoing through its rooms. The house isn't trying to kill you. It doesn't hide a monster. The house watches. It remembers. It learns the way you move. How to Play You'll need: the printed game sheet; a pencil; one six-sided die (d6). Each turn, the die tells you which room the sound comes from. You decide how to reach it: slowly, at a normal pace, or running. Every journey is recorded in the House Memory , a matrix that preserves the pace you chose the first time you walked each path. Whenever you travel the same route again, that memory returns. An Echo is created. Every three Echoes, a Mutation occurs. The floor plan physically changes beneath your pencil: a door appears, a detail disappears, a room is renamed, or something shifts ever so slightly. You then write a brief note explaining why you think the house changed. The house will never tell you if you're right. Horror Through Small Changes This is not a game about monsters, gore, or combat. The horror comes from things that might have always been there. A door you don't remember. A window in a blank wall. A room that suddenly feels smaller. A name that no longer seems correct. Every anomaly has two possible explanations. Perhaps the house is truly changing. Perhaps your memory is quietly failing you. The game ends once every room has undergone at least one Mutation. When it does, only two things remain: the altered floor plan and the memory of your footsteps. Look at them. Read your notes one last time. Then ask yourself: Did you change the house… or did the house rewrite you? Features Minimalist solo horror journaling RPG. Complete game on a single double-sided A4 sheet. A floor plan you physically alter as you play. A unique system built around Pace, Echoes, and Mutations. Quick to learn and easy to start. Every playthrough creates a one-of-a-kind artifact shaped by your choices. Slow, intimate, psychological horror. Available in Italian and English. Created for the 1100 Words TTRPG Kitchen 2026 game jam.
