What it is about

Keep a small harbour connected through one difficult night. Tidepost is a light solo resource-choice game: carry the watch parcel, answer a tow request, trade a recovered fitting for repairs, or spend a whole watch laying over to keep the launch afloat. You need one player, pencil, paper and one six-sided die. There is no app, card cutting or game master. Track Fuel, Hull, Trust and Stock across a fixed shift; every event offers two concrete actions, plus the same clear recovery option. Costs are paid before gains, risk is resolved once, and the night has a definite ending. FULL GAME: six watches, 36 D66 events in six harbour districts, full rules, a worked route, a printable watch log and a desk reference. The A4 and US Letter PDFs are each 18 pages of the same game, fitted separately to each paper size. A complete plain-text edition is included. FREE FIRST LIGHT: a complete three-watch short game with the first six events, its own setup and target, worked example and log. Its A4 and Letter PDFs are each seven pages, with a full text edition. It finishes without purchasing Full. Try the short game before deciding whether you want the longer shift and other five districts. This is an English-language DIGITAL DOWNLOAD of printable PDFs and text, not a computer game or a printed book shipped to you. Print only the pages you need; ordinary paper can replace the supplied log. The diagram is a district lookup illustration, not a movement system. The final books were rendered and inspected in both paper sizes. Rules were checked with fixed local simulated routes including successful shifts, recovery, resource shortages and grounding; final ZIPs were extracted and the printed action text used to resolve the worked routes. These are local checks, not human playtesting. No physical-printer test has been performed. PDFs are not accessibility-tagged; the complete text edition is provided as an alternative. AI-assisted rules, event writing, diagrams and layout. No claim of hand-written provenance, customer reviews, exclusive copyright or guaranteed enjoyment. Personal printing and play are permitted; no standalone redistribution or resale of the book/text. See the included LICENSE.txt.
