What it is about
SCHEMA 1+ players pencil, paper PHASE 1: EXPRESSIVE agree to 10 basic words (e.g. container, person, moves, controls). create basic symbol for each. write. create symbols for grammar: "not", "plural", etc. PHASE 2: PROGRESSIVE combine 2 symbols at random. determine meaning of combined phrase (e.g. "container moves", vehicle). write. create 20 2-symbol phrases. if willing, repeat for 3-symbol phrases, including 1- and 2-symbol phrases. PHASE 3: EXCESSIVE choose word. try to combine symbols to create phrase with that meaning (e.g. traffic lights, "electric apparatus controls moves containers move"). in play: one player creates phrase, other players guess meaning of phrase.
