What it is about
Don't Give Up, Skeleton! I invented this game mode to better learn the canon of D&D and I walked away with a lot more. This game mode is for powerscalers, meta gamers, and psychonauts who can't find others to group with but would love a way to play this game alone (Michael from Vsauce I know you want to) Until It Is Done... Through this experiment I've found that all official Dungeons and Dragons content is not organized in a fun or even technically illuminating way, but with this framework you actually turn that into a boon. The key features that really make this work is removing dice, real time, and dm fiat. As if a fresh face at the monster hunter guild, you get to choose your quest which is easily pulled from the monster manual, dust off the hunter's library learning about monster habits, stats, and running simulations. Eat and sleep and shop and craft and fight. Explore what it means to be a dragon, to be a human, to be a fighter. Or whatever world you end up building because, you do HAVE to build that world. Speaking on, don't worry almost everything is easy to find pricing and assembling your paper button UX is the very essence of the game here with a ludo-narrative of your fighter also studying or working relentlessly toward a goal. That's the roleplay. And basically, mechanically, it's like high-stake Chess meets Minecraft meets Monster Hunter. . So what I'm saying is, D&D seems harder than it is because of the running with knives vibes, but I believe in you if we had time to prepare? I'm Batman. Oh and final advice is to remember probability changes with sequences of things, I would at least make alternating odds for quick math. 60% hits every other time as an example. Would You Kindly? I'm Skylent! Most known for my critic work across MMO and digital 3rd space on YouTube. I recently found myself in love with Dungeons & Dragons and TTRPG design. I'm also a UX designer with a background in game design. I'm a hyper-phantasia mal-adaptive daydreaming synesthetic aesthete who wants to make far out wwweird stuff for hungry minds like mine.
