What it is about

You opened your eyes and the street was unfamiliar. The smell of home was gone. Your human was out there somewhere and you had only one certainty: you were not going to stop until you found them. Alone Searching for My Human is a cozy solo journaling game where you play as a lost doggo searching for the human they call home. Using a standard deck of 52 cards and a six-sided die as your oracle, you narrate in first person the adventures, encounters and emotions of a journey guided by instinct and heart. There is no victory or defeat. There is only your story. Along the way you will cross paths with curious children, gentle old strangers, mysterious cats and other street dogs. You will catch memories in forgotten objects, hear songs that smell like home and find places that make your heart ache with longing. And sometimes, just sometimes, someone will whisper a name that sounds familiar. The game was designed to be gentle, accessible and deeply emotional. There is no combat, no death, no punishment. There is only a determined doggo and a journal ready to hold every moment of the journey. Choose your archetype from six unique canine personalities, each with special advantages and rules that shape how you see the world. The end of the journey is not fixed. You write when the story reaches where it needs to go. Maybe you find your human. Maybe you find a new home. Maybe you discover that the love you were searching for was already there along the way. What you will need: • A standard deck of 52 cards, no jokers • One six-sided die (d6) • A notebook or journal to write in • A pen or pencil Inspired by Alone Among the Stars by Takuma Okada.
