What does your character do for a living? When they aren’t crawling through dank, webbed corridors deep underground, or dusty ruins in shadowy lands. Many people need an occupation to fall back on, just in case that legendary treasure map just doesn’t pan out. Maybe you need a couple dozen jobs for different background characters meant for color and atmosphere. These 200 different occupations are historically accurate, and occasionally fall into the realm of magic, myth, and legend. This list is intended for any Fantasy / Sword & Sorcery adventure setting (like Dungeons & Dragons (all versions), Tunnels & Trolls, Mork Borg, Pathfinder (all versions), Rolemaster, Palladium, GURPS Fantasy, etc.) where people live on the edge of the unknown. This table will help you define player characters and non-player character, who occupy hamlets, thorps, villages, towns and cities. You can choose from the list as you see fit, use a 1d100 roll and apply it to the first 100 or the last 100 - the choice is yours.
