What it is about

Can you assuage the passion of the beast? Try your best. It won't be easy in the dark. You are a naive, over-confident fortune seeker trapped in the Dark Depths — the lightless, light-starved core of a labyrinth that should only exist in myth. The bad news? You are trespassing, and an ancient, furious Minotaur is hunting you down. The good news? You have a middleman. Dating the Minotaur is a fast, fun, and intensely silly solo resource-management and timing game set in the world of Aevropa—a classical, medieval alt-history Europe where myths are dangerously real. Your only lifeline is the twitchy, avaricious Postal Goblin. While you scrabble in the dirt to pry semi-precious "Shinies" from the labyrinth walls, you must send this high-strung courier back to the local village to buy tokens of affection for the beast. Inside This Issue: The Three Hexes: Balance your strategy across a minimalist, hyper-focused 3-hex map (The Village, The Outer Maze, and The Dark Depths). A Menu of Appeasement: Spend your hard-earned Shinies on items ranging from "Safe" options (Mother Byrne’s Prize Sausage) to highly "Risky" gambles (a hurriedly scribbled, unique romantic poem) to soothe the beast's rage. Fraying Nerve Mechanics: Manage the Minotaur's escalating Fury track while keeping an eye on your Postal Goblin's Discipline. If his nerves hit -6, he will abandon you to your fate forever. No Hand-Holding: A tight, solo RPG experience designed to let you choose your backstory, figure out the loops, and map your own escape. Offer the right tributes, steady your courier's nerves, and map out your orientation. Reach the Minotaur's heart, or lose your head.
