What it is about
You woke on the shore with no memory of how you arrived. A small village is waiting. Its people will ask you one honest question at a time.
Washed Ashore is a mindful solo journaling RPG set in the quiet village of Aelindra. Eight villagers live there, each holding a different kind of question. The Astronomer asks what you keep coming back to. The Old Witch names what you've been avoiding. The Fisherman sits beside you and says nothing for a long time.
You visit them one at a time. You write honestly. You return to the inn. That's it. That's the game.
HOW YOU ARRIVE You choose how you arrive: as yourself, as a softer version of you, or as a wild fantasy character. The questions are the same. The distance changes.
HOW IT WORKS Roll one die (or choose). Read a short scene. Write in your own journal — in your own words, on your own pages. Each session takes 15–40 minutes. A character sheet helps you arrive with intention — no complicated stats, just a name, a gift, a mood, and a direction. An optional Visit Tracker helps you notice patterns over time — who you return to, who you circle around.
Eight villagers live in Aelindra. Six welcome you from the start. Two more appear after your fourth visit. After eight visits, Wren offers you a threshold: do you know yet why you washed ashore? You decide.
No combat. No performance. Just one honest question at the end of a long day.
