What it is about

Away Teams is a compact solo card game about sequencing, scoring, and making the best of a changing hand. Play number cards to add, subtract, or multiply your score, then use special Powerups to bend the rules in your favor. Every mission has a different card limit and scoring targets. You can't play forever, and you can't change your mind once your cards are down. You'll need to think ahead, adapt to the cards you draw, and squeeze as many Stars as you can out of seven missions. Includes 38 crew cards, 4 powerup cards, and 12 mission cards. Can you complete the mission? How about all seven? How to Play Your goal: Complete 7 Missions and earn as many Stars as possible. The maximum score is 21 Stars. 1. Prepare for your mission Reveal a Mission card. Check its Card Limit and the scoring bands needed to earn 1, 2, or 3 Stars. 2. Play your cards Start with a score of 0. On each turn, play a card from your hand and apply its effect. Add to your score, subtract from it, multiply it, or activate a special Powerup. Then discard a card and refill your hand to four cards. 3. Make every card count Keep playing until you've assigned exactly the number of cards allowed by the mission. The order matters: effects resolve from left to right, so the same cards can produce very different results depending on how you arrange them. 4. Collect your Stars Compare your final score against the mission's scoring bands and award yourself 1, 2, or 3 Stars. Clear the mission, draw a fresh hand, and move on to the next challenge. 5. Complete all seven missions When the final mission is over, add up your Stars. You can earn up to 21. How close can you get?
