What it is about
Made for Folklore Jam 2025 . Premise One night in 18th Century Yorkshire, a drummer boy entered a tunnel at Richmond Castle to beat the path for his fellow soldiers to follow to unknown riches. They followed the drumbeat along the River Swale toward Easby Abbey, and along the way, the drumbeat stopped. Legend has it that the drummer boy found his way into a chamber where King Arthur and his knights lay in an enchanted sleep, waiting for the day they would return to protect England from dangers unknown. A knight raised his hand to silence the drumming, and the soldiers above heard the hushed conversation. "Is England in danger?" the knight asked. The drummer boy shook his head. "Then now is not the time to awaken King Arthur." the knight told him. "Will you stay with us, and sleep until we are needed?" The boy agreed, and they still lay there, under the ground near Richmond Castle, waiting for the day that England calls upon them to serve her once more.
