What it is about

SAVE AS A printable microgame about what we tried to save — and lost anyway. Everything ended. Maybe it was the world. Maybe it was just a friendship, your old home, or a quiet rainy day. You find a small paper floppy disk — unlabeled, glitched. Inside it lies a 14.4 mm high-density data strip , packed with corrupted words and empty spaces. You decide to recover what you can. Save As is a tactile, introspective microgame about restoring lost memories. You become a data-recovery technician, or perhaps just someone who can’t let go. Between static and silence, you highlight what remains, scratch away what’s gone, and give the memory a name. How to Play Print and assemble Cut, fold, and glue your floppy disk. Slide the data strip inside — this is your corrupted archive. Recover data Read the strip closely, maybe with a magnifying glass. Use a marker or pen to highlight words that speak to you — the fragments you managed to restore. Forced data restoration (when you want to write in the blank {        } spaces) Close your eyes. Scratch blindly across the data strip with a black marker. When you open your eyes, those marks are sectors lost during recovery — traces of what couldn’t be saved. Save the file Label the disk: Save As: [filename] Example: Save As: my dad Add a recovery date: File restored – 12/10/25. Archive or gift Keep it as part of your collection, or give it to someone else and say: “Here. I saved you.” ---------------------------------- What It Feels Like You scan the strip.
