What it is about
"Agnostic | Minimalist | Print-and-Play" Lore CORE & COIN is a universal skirmish system that transcends genres. Whether your battlefield features high-fantasy wizards, gritty sci-fi soldiers, or even makeshift LEGO heroes, the rules adapt to the miniatures you already own. It is a game designed for pure tactical fun, where the only thing that matters is your strategy and a bit of luck from a coin toss. Game Details Number of Players: 1–2 (Includes Solo "Auto-Bot" AI) Genre: Tabletop Skirmish / Agnostic Wargame Play Time: Quick (5 Rounds) Main Mechanics: Alternating Activations, Dice-Based Combat, and the "Luck" Coin Toss Core Mechanics Agnostic Warbands: Build a squad of 3 to 5 models using any figures you own, assigning them roles like the heavy-hitting Warrior, the swift Scout, or the long-range Deadeye. Action Economy: Each model performs two different actions per turn, choosing between Moving, Attacking, Interacting with objectives, or Recovering lost health. Burn the Luck: Once per turn, you can gamble on a physical coin flip. Heads results in an automatic, perfect success, while Tails causes an immediate fumble and ends the model's turn. Tactical Skirmishing: Navigate terrain to utilize cover, manage "Melee Locks" to prevent enemies from retreating, and claim objectives to win the scenario. The Auto-Bot AI: A dedicated solo mode featuring an automated behavior table that dictates enemy movement and aggression based on distance and dice rolls. Requirements Miniatures: 3–5 models per side (any type or scale). Play Area: A small 2'x2' space. Tools: A handful of six-sided dice (d6), a physical coin, and a ruler or tape measure (inches).
