What it is about

Black Cab Confessions is a solo storytelling game set in the sleepless streets of London. You are the driver of a London black cab, working the city after midnight. Rain slides across the windscreen. Streetlights blur into gold. Passengers get in, talk, fall silent, laugh, confess, and disappear back into the night. Each card you draw is a fare. Each fare becomes a short encounter, a fragment of story, a moment carried between pick-up and drop-off. Some rides are funny. Some are tense. Some are tender. Some leave an ache that lingers after the door closes. This is not a game about winning, solving, or conquering. It is a reflective, atmospheric game about listening, noticing, and writing down what the city sounds like when most people are asleep. All you need is: a standard deck of playing cards something to write with a notebook or journal Inside you’ll find: clear rules for play suit and rank meanings full prompt tables for all four suits optional mechanics for shift length, focus, passenger tags, and route mapping an example of play appendices to help you customise your own nights on the road Black Cab Confessions is ideal for players who enjoy: solo journalling games reflective play urban atmosphere fleeting human stories London as a setting games with no prep and low rules overhead Feedback is very welcome. If you play it, read it, or have suggestions, I’d love to hear what worked for you and what could be improved.
